As we approach summer months, hot weather (with a little bit of luck) and holidays, we at Wakefield Business Centres would like to share some top tips on how to keep yourself motivated during the summer season.
1.
Keep Fluid Levels Up It’s imperative to keep yourself hydrated such that you can ensure you are motivated all day long. Make sure that water is available / accessible at any time and drink! Remember humans can lose upto 8 pints of water a day, so we all need to replenish that to keep functioning.
2.
Work Indoors During Midday Temperatures usually reach a high late morning through to the early afternoon, so try to do most of your work indoors during this time, such that you don’t become too lethargic and therefore unproductive.
3.
Keep Well Ventilated Ensure your workspace has air flow and open any windows to keep you feeling fresh and alert. Try to be prepared and have a cooling fan to hand as working in a hot environment does not help enhance anyone’s mood.
4.
Allow Extra Travelling Time As people start to go on holiday and take time off work, traffic can build up on the roads meaning it might take a little longer to do your usual routes. If your office is not easily accessible, in the middle of a city or the outskirts, ensure that your journeys are planned and allow additional time just in case!
5.
Get Out In The Sun It’s good to keep cool, but sunshine puts a smile on everyone’s face. So get up, take a break and go for walk perhaps later on in the afternoon, grab an ice cream or a snack and come back to your desk feeling refreshed and full of new ideas.
We hope these tips assist you to tackle the summer months and continue to keep high productivity levels. All our
office spaces have windows allowing fresh air into the buildings, are close to city centres so you can get out for that walk, offer shared kitchen facilities, and are easily accessible by car and public transport.
